Straight Oils
A straight oil may be an oil derived from a petroleum, animal, or vegetable origin and are used "straight", that is without dilution with water. These oils may be a blend of one or more of the various "base" oils and may also contain boundary and/or extreme pressure lubricants. Straight oils provide maximum lubricity, but with minimal cooling.

TRIM® OD 250 Straight Oil
|
|
|
TRIM® OD 250 is a low-odor, light-colored oil designed for operations where low viscosity and high lubricity are required. In addition to general machining, OD 250 is particularly effective in deep-hole drilling and creepfeed grinding where its ability to flow into the cutting zone and “wet” the surfaces increases tool life and reduces heat. OD 250 is also an excellent choice for carbide, quartz, and ceramic grinding operations.
- Well-balanced, extreme-pressure additive package for a wide variety of applications
- Light color
- Low odor
- Viscosity and lubricity balanced for creepfeed grinding, deep-hole drilling, and fine surface grinding

TRIM® OM 100 Nonchlorinated Cutting Oil
|
|
|
TRIM® OM 100 is a straight cutting oil designed for general machining of all metals including aluminum, copper, brass, and cast iron. OM 100 provides excellent lubricity without staining nonferrous metals.
- Excellent lubricity for efficient metal removal
- Residues are very easily removed with TRIM® CLEAN aqueous cleaners such as TRIM® CLEAN 2029 “One Step”
- Will not stain
- No active sulfur or chlorine

TRIM® OM 287 Versatile Cutting Oil
|
|
|
TRIM® OM 287 is a straight cutting oil designed for general machining of all metals. OM 287 has a balanced, extreme-pressure package for excellent finishes and tool life on a variety of metals.
- Excellent lubricity for efficient metal removal
- Light color and low odor for good operator acceptance
- Will not stain; runs clear
- High-quality raw materials resist oxidation
- Lower viscosity allows better cooling
- Safe for use on nonferrous as well as ferrous metals

TRIM® OM 300 Straight Oil
|
|
|
TRIM® OM 300 is a high-performance straight cutting oil designed with active extreme-pressure additives to reduce the formation of built-up edge in cutting hard-to-machine materials including 300 series stainless. Moderate viscosity and high flash point makes OM 300 a very effective lubricant for difficult creepfeed grinding operations.
- Controls built-up edge
- Longer tool life
- Better finish
- Machines difficult ferrous and stainless steel alloys

TRIM® OM 303 Nonchlorinated Cutting and Lubricating Oil
|
|
|
TRIM® OM 303 is a highly-formulated, semisynthetic straight oil designed for use in conventional and Swiss-style screw machines, high-speed turning centers, and high-performance, multi-station machines, such as Hydromats. OM 303 is safe for use on aluminum alloy and steel alloy parts, as well as cast iron, copper, brass, and bronze. This product is excellent for high-pressure applications such as thread rolling and thread-form tapping. OM 303 has proven itself in difficult operations on stainless and bearing steels. OM 303 provides lubrication properties similar to ISO 32 general-purpose lube oils.
- Very light colored and clean running
- Low-foaming and low-misting for use in aggressive operations
- Oxidation inhibited for longer life, and an excellent choice where both ferrous and aluminum or copper alloy parts are being machined aggressively
- Far easier to wash off parts than many oils of similar or even lower performance
- Has replaced dark, heavy-active sulfur/chlorine straight oils in several large operations while providing superior results in tool life
- An outstanding product in thread rolling, thread-form tapping, and in Swiss screw machines with solid bushings
- Contains no active sulfur, therefore, does not stain parts
