ZIRCA-SIL™ 18 High Performance Conversion Coating
                          RELEASED: 2010-09-30
Patented, High-performance, Low-temperature, Conversion Coating for the Replacement of Iron and Zinc Phosphates.

                          • Lower or no energy costs! ZIRCA-SIL™ 18 operates at 70°F and usually not higher than about 110°F that can occur from carry-over heat from previous stages.
                          • ZIRCA-SIL™ 18 is phosphate free! With this process there is no concern of phosphates contaminating your effluent.
                          • The ZIRCA-SIL™ 18 process does not produce sludge! Unlike typical iron and zinc phosphate systems, ZIRCA-SIL™ 18 will not generate the heavy sludge or scale that clogs nozzles, adheres to heating tubes and exchangers, and must be cleaned every few months from tanks and be hauled away.
                          • Lower water usage! Because in some cases fewer stages can be used in the process, the amount of overflow water will be less and overall usage of water will be significantly less.
                          • Faster process time! By using the ZIRCA-SIL™ 18 process you can significantly reduce the process time as a result of the reduction in stages required. ZIRCA-SIL™ 18 typically coats much faster than zinc phosphates, without compromising performance.
                          • Easy to control! Unlike zinc phosphate, the ZIRCA-SIL™ 18 process requires fewer and much simpler controls.
                          • ZIRCA-SIL™ 18 is compatible with all paints and metals!

                          SCROUNGER® Jr. Oil Skimmer
Effectively Remove Oil from Coolants and Washing Solutions
                          RELEASED: 2008-05-21
                          SCROUNGER® Jr. Oil Skimmer
Tramp oil is a major source of problems associated with water miscible cutting and grinding fluids.

Tramp oil contributes to the growth and formation of:
                          • coolant-destroying bacteria
                          • undesirable residues on machine tools and workpieces
                          • smoke and oil mist in shop atmospheres
                          These problems result in:
                          • shortened coolant life
                          • poor material removal rates
                          • poor surface finish and size control
                          • decreased tool and wheel life
Numerous devices (“floating ropes,” wheels, and belts) have been developed over the years to remove “free floating“ tramp oil from the surface of coolant. While they have all worked to one degree or another, they generally have been either “troublesome,“ high maintenance, relatively ineffective, or able to operate only on limited liquid level fluctuations. To overcome the shortcomings of existing tramp oil skimming devices, Master Chemical has introduced the SCROUNGER® Oil Skimmer.

As a “belt-type” skimmer, these units are effective in removing floating oil from widely fluctuating liquid levels of coolants or parts washing solutions. The SCROUNGER® features a revolutionary new oleophilic belt and a totally new concept of stripping the separated oil from the belt. The SCROUNGER® Jr. uses the same “oil loving“ belt, but uses a more compact scraper blade to strip the separated oil from the belt.
